I grew up welding on a farm, learning the basics from my father and spending the next three decades refining those skills across agricultural, structural, and repair work. These days, my role on this site is as a technical reviewer -- I cross-check Liam's findings, verify manufacturer specifications, and flag anything that doesn't line up with what I know about the equipment from my own experience using it.
My background covers mild steel, stainless, and cast iron across a wide range of applications. That experience means I can usually tell when a machine's claimed capabilities don't match the reality of running it in the field.
When I review Liam's drafts, I'm checking that the numbers add up, that the methodology holds, and that the conclusions are consistent with published specs and real-world use. I review Liam's drafts for technical accuracy, check manufacturer specifications, and flag anything that doesn't match my own experience with the equipment. If something doesn't pass that check, it doesn't make it onto the site.
